They Don’t Want My Money?

May 11, 2007 By: admin Category: Advertising Know How, Strangeness, Traffic Roundup

As a part of my Traffic Exchange Exposed traffic exchange ranking service I will recommend one traffic exchange in each issue for all readers to upgrade in. In this past issue I recommended a one month upgrade in Advertising Know How (AKH). It is a decent Traffic Exchange. It provides many options for its users and is an overall good performer.

Because I don’t only talk the talk and I do walk the walk, I went to AKH to purchase a one-month upgrade for my self. To my surprise I found that there is no option to purchase a one-month upgrade. WHAT! The only option to purchase an upgrade in AKH is through a PayPal subscription. I don’t want a subscription. I only want one month worth of upgraded services.

See, and that is the crux of this subscription concept for Traffic Exchanges, if I may get a little bit off topic. Why would anybody want to purchase Traffic Exchange services on a subscription? It is like putting the cart in front of the horse. When it comes to Traffic Exchanges there is no way to determine if it will be performing well month after month.

Another bad part of this subscription thing is monitoring when to cancel the subscription. I feel it is better to monitor when to purchase a subscription than when to cancel it. I do like to be in charge of my money and determine when to spend it.

So, getting back to AKH. I sent in a support ticket asking for a one-month upgrade option to be added to their IPN. Here is what I wrote:

Hello Robert;

I am AKH member megaman. As you may know I am running a newsletter that provides people with some very interesting information about TE’s.

In my past issue (Today’s) of Traffic Exchange Exposed AKH was selected as the one month upgrade Traffic Exchange. Since I hold true to form I would like to upgrade my account at AKH for one month but, I do not see that option available in the members area.

Could you add a one-month upgrade option for me so I can explore further the benefits of AKH?

Thanks,
Phil

Hi Phil,

We don’t have that option and, to the best of my knowledge, Mr. Puddy will not add that. If you wish to upgrade we do have a OTO for the Pro membership level which gives you the opportunity to try the upgraded services for one month for $1, then $7.97 per month after that. If you have not yet seen that, you can still try it. If you passed on it when it came up, the option is now not available to you.

What I will suggest to you, if you missed that option, is to go ahead and upgrade. If, at the end of the 30 days, you should decide that this is not for you simply cancel your subscription through PayPal and you will not be charged again.

I hope this information is of use to you. If you have any further questions, please let me know.

Best Regards,
Catherine

Okay, call me stupid but was I just totally blown off? I’m telling ya, they don’t want my money! I’m just about begging to give it to them – LOL!

This brings me to Traffic Roundup (TR). I wanted to purchase a one-month upgrade there and they didn’t have a one month upgrade option thereĀ as well. All it took is e-mail to Bobbie (the TR Admin) and he told me how I could get the one-month upgrade. See TR has no problem taking my money and I’m sure they wouldn’t have one taking yours as well if you contact them. Great customer service Traffic Roundup!

What is the Moral to the story? Some will, some won’t, who’s next!

Phil
