With all the hoopla about which browser one should use with Traffic Exchanges going on I thought I would add my two cents to the deal. Let me preface this with “I am a IE7.x fan, tried and true.” There is no reason why anybody would want to add a third party solution or the extra overhead a non-IE7 browser adds to the processor load.

I know that IE can be locked down just like the others can. It is a fairly easy task to do. I have created a page that deals with this very subject. You can find the link by looking in the left margin. It is labeled “Preferred WinXP SP2 IE7.x Settings.”

When using these setting for surfing Traffic Exchanges you should always remember that these settings will apply to all your ‘net surfing. If there is a non-Traffic Exchange web site that does not work and you fully trust the sites content then you can add that site to your Trusted Sites list. Never add a Traffic Exchange to your Trusted Sites list.

Go-ahead and enjoy the best of both worlds. Being able to use the Browser that came with your Operation System for Traffic Exchanges and less processor overhead.
