Hit Pirate Denial
on September 12th, 2007 at 20:19Here I am surfing Hit Pirate tonight when I come across a challenge question. The question asks me to type a series of alphanumeric characters. “A27…0″ or something like that was the requested response. The problem I had is with the “0″ at the end. Was it a “0″ or “O”, hard to tell which in my opinion just looking at the Cryptograph. Anyway, I had a 50% chance of guessing the right letter… I guessed wrong and I got a Denial added to my account – LOL!
They mess up by not using the right character set and I get the Denial…
For future reference folks, use a unique character set that leaves no doubt about what to type in the text box. You may not have to accuse your members of cheating then.

When I do codes I usually make the codes and user input replaces zeros with the letter o, so if you type an o or a zero, you’ll get it. Same with I and L.
Great System Tim. It didn’t work in my case however…

Yep, you’re 100% right there Phil. I haved turned the turing numbers off as they are just an additional feature I can throw in to help prevent cheating. They can be turned on or off at the flip of a switch.
But for future reference. It is never a zero. Always an “o”
LOL!
Yep, it is always good to have an Ace-In-The-Hole, so to speak.
Good to know that you are always using an O instead of a zero.
Thanks for stoping by Jack… I really do like your Traffic Exchange.
Take Care,
Phil
