Why try to reinvent the wheel?

247 Traffic Pro is trying to reinvent the wheel

There are times when a traffic exchange will try to reinvent the wheel. Sometimes it works out okay, and yet, others it doesn’t work out very well. Take this instance for example.

A e-mail message was sent to me saying:

Hello Phil.

You have a new private message from Janid Inayat “Admin” entitled: “W’re Sorry”

Use the link below to view it:

Link Deleted For Security Reasons

So, I click on the link and come to the page shown in the image attached to this article (Click image to see a larger version in a new window). Here is the catch, What is shown in the image is what I saw. No private messages were displayed. I have no idea what the admin is sorry about. LOL!

What is the reason why this page failed to do what it was designed to do? Simple, the “”Webmaster”" (I get a kick out of supposed Webmasters) is trying to use client side scripting for a server side solution. This normally doesn’t ever work out as intended. There are to many different browsers with an equal amount of settings to set in them that will work against just about any client side scripting.

I would think it would just be simpler to maike a database query and output the data using a server side solution instead.

Ah well, live and learn!

Hopefully the webmaster sees this message and makes the changes needed for proper website functionability. Hell, it is a Traffic Exchange man! Keep It Simple Stupid!

On a side note, if your browser is actually showing the private messages and not showing the page like it is in the image you are risking your computer to be open to attack. You need to seal up the holes in your browser settings. Don’t come crying to me if you get a virus downloaded without your knowledge.

Take Care,
Phil
