IE7.x WinXP SP2

These setting are only available for Traffic Exchanges users that are using WinXP W/ SP2 and IE7.x…

If you use these settings it should help keep the nasties out of your computer and take control of your surf environment.

Open up a IE window

Click “Tools” in the menu bar

Click “Internet Options” on the pulldown menu

Select the “Security” tab

Click on the “Internet” icon

Look below for the “Custom Level” button - Click it

Set everything in that window like it is displayed below

When done click on the “OK” button

Click on the “OK” button again to close the main security dialog box

You are all set for using IE in Traffic Exchanges now… If for some reason a non-Traffic Exchange site does not work what you will have to do is add it to your “Trusted Sites” list. But remember! Never add a Traffic exchange to your Trusted Sites List. The reason is because the sites a TE show in the surfbar will inherit all the permissions of the Trusted Site and then negates the reasons why you setup your security settings.

If a Traffic Exchange stops working after you make these changes then you know what to do with that TE… Right? It is “See Ya, Wouldn’t Want To Be Ya!” time. Trash the Traffic Exchange let the owner know about this page and inform the owner that you will use the their Traffic Exchange again after the problem is taken care of. There are way to many TE’s available out there that will work with these security setting for you to worry about the few that won’t.

Try it, you may like it…

Here are the settings:
